ISLAMABAD: Cell phone services will be suspended in at least 52 cities across Pakistan during Muharram processions on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dawn News reported.
Federal government has taken the decision to suspend mobile service on Muharram 9th and 10th due to security concerns. Mobile phone service will remain suspended on all the routes of Muharram processions.
The services will remain suspended from 8 a.m. till 10 p.m. although some cities will experience partial suspension in sensitive area, a telecom official told Dawn News.
